Ropharma (www.ropharma.ro) is a pharmaceutical company resulting from the merger of IassyFarm Iasi, Aesculap Targu Mures, Medica Bacau and Global Pharmaceuticals Brasov, with the main activity being the distribution of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products, retail trade through its own network comprising 129 pharmacies and the production of medicines, food supplements and powdered milk, as well as the provision of medical services through the multidisciplinary private hospital Sfantul Constantin Brasov. The company originates from the state-owned enterprise Oficiul Farmaceutic Iasi, established in 1952, by incorporating all pharmacies in the Iasi and Vaslui areas. In 1991, the company became Iassyfarm, the majority stake being acquired by ADD Pharmaceuticals from Cyprus, and in 2007 it adopted its current name.
